Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Southeast-oriented chart of the harbor of Petatlán, just south of Zihuatanejo, in the modern state of Guerrero in Mexico, and its saltwater lagoon (Laguna de Potosí). The offshore islands "White Friers" or Los Morros de Potosí are also charted. The map was published for George Anson's account of his circumnavigation, A Voyage Round the World in 1740-4, launched during the War of Jenkins' Ear.

Condition Description

Flattened. Minor toning and faint offsetting. A few nicks at left extremity (not affecting map).
