Description
Great vintage pictorial bird's eye view map of New York City, published by George J. Nostrand, a prominent map and view maker in the City at the time.
The map covers all five boroughs as well as a large section of northern New Jersey. Many towns and neighborhoods are labeled.
The major thoroughfares are labeled and the whole of the metropolitan area is rendered in impressive pictorial detail.
The map covers from Far Rockaway in the southeast to Port Chester in the northeast to southwestern Staten Island in the southwest and Mountain View in the northwest.
The Spirit of Saint Louis is shown flying over the area. This helps date the map to circa 1927.
