Nice example of Mathew Carey's American Pocket Atlas, first issued in 1796 and subsequently revised in 1801, 1805, 1813, and 1814. This is the 1805 edition, labeled the third edition on the title page. It comprises twenty engraved maps, including a folding map of the United States and nineteen maps of various states and territories. Some of these maps were also used in Carey's Minor American Atlas (1802, 1810) and the Carey and Warner General Atlas of 1814 and 1816.
