Description

Vintage travel brochure of Los Angeles issued by TWA, showing the locations of clubs, theaters, restaurants, hotels, movie studios, shops, and sports stadia in the central part of the city. The airfares and businesses listed suggest this brochure was issued in the 1950s. Perino's is listed at 3927 Wilshire Blvd., although in 1950 it moved to 4101 Wilshire  Blvd. Also listed is the Beverly Hilton, which opened on August 11, 1955. The Earl Carroll Theater, which operated as the Moulin Rouge in the 1950s, is listed at 6230 Sunset Blvd., and the Mocambo, which closed in 1958, at 8588 Sunset Blvd.
