Description
Decorative double hemisphere map of the world, immediately after the report of Cook's Third Voyages. The Sandwich Islands appear, as does the updated, but by no means yet accurate Northwest Coast of America, predating the Alaskan Archipelago's final appearane on the map. Australia's coast is still substantially incomplete and New Zealand is still misconfigured. No sign of the Antarctic continent. A marvelous decorative world map from Janvier's Atlas Moderne.
