This detailed nautical chart of the Gulf of Finland, titled Карта Финскаго Залива (Map of the Gulf of Finland), includes navigational routes, coastal features, and depth soundings essential for maritime navigation.
The main map is complemented by detailed views of specific areas such as Reval (Tallinn), Orengrund, and Viipuri (Vyborg). These insets focus on strategic locations and provide additional depth soundings and navigational information.
The map features Russian labels and notes regarding navigation, and it is based on Swedish maps from 1788-1801.

Engraving on paper. Backed with modern archival linen, repairing a large tear at lower right and smaller tears elsewhere.
