Fine early view of Salvador de Bahia in Brazil, showing the attack of the the Dutch admiral Piet Hein of the West Indian Company: he captured and sacked the city in May 1624, holding it and other ports until they were retaken by a Spanish-Portuguese fleet in May 1625.
