Description

Unusual map of North America with large inset of the Environs De Mexico. The most notable features on the map are the childlike western borders and the rail roads lines shown. There are also some handwritten annotations on the map, primarily notes locating places in the West, such as Yankton, ND, Olympia, WA, Carson City, NV, Wyoming, Denver City, etc., evidently added by an early owner interested in the American West. A scarce map by a family publishing house not listed in Tooley. Interesting decorative border.
