Dear Colleagues,
Interpol in Washington D.C. reports the theft of the following rare
maps. Please be on the lookout for these maps and contact Interpol or
the ABAA security office with any information. The attachments of the
maps aren't forwardable on this list, but I can email them to anyone who
is interested.

1. Map of North America . The color of the background yellowish or
beige, beautifully and softly colored. Dimension: 463 x 552 mm. The
name of the map: AMERICA SEPTENTRIONALIS. Another texts in the map:
Amstelodami, Excudit lonnes lanssonius. The map originates in the work:
Johannes Janssonius, NOVIUS ATLAS, Amsterdam 1645. The catalog of maps
of Nordenskiold nr. 114. Signum: N 1510.III.k78.
2. Map of America. Splendid and beautifully colored. Dimension: 409 x
553 mm. The name of the map: AMERICAE nova Tabula. The map originates in
the work: Joan Blaeu, ATLAS MAIOR, Amsterdam 1662. Vol.XI AMERICA. The
catalog of maps of Nordenskiold nr. 24. Signum: N:2556.XI.k1.
3. Map of New England. Splendid and beautifully colored. Dimension: 385
x 502 mm. The name of the map: NOVA BELGICA ET ANGLIA NOVA. The work
same as item 2. Signum: N.2556.XI.k4.
4. World map, very beautiful, colored globe (two hemispheres), decorated
with beautiful border pictures. Dimension: NOVA ET ACCVRATISSIMA TOTIVS
TERRARUM ORBIS TABULA. Auctore IOANNE BLAEV. The work same as item 2.
Signum: N.2556.I.k1
5. World map, very rare incunabula map, strongly colored, the world is
like a fan in shape. Dimension: 396 x 545 mm. The map is without the
name, it is called as "mappamundi" Insculptum est per Joahnne Schnitzer
de Armssheim 1482. The map originates in the work: Claudius Ptolemaeus,
(Cosmographia), Venetia 1486. Height 42,2 cm. Signum: Ink.3.k1.
6. European map, the type same as item 5. Dimension: 396 x 517 mm.
The work same as item 5. Signum: Ink.3.k2.
