Stolen maps Stockholm

Dear colleagues!
Sad news: The Royal Library, Stockholm, has also been visited by one of
those involved in the recent wave of map theft.
I made a quick check of our Orteliuses and Mercators, and almost all
have suffered: some 20 maps have been cut out with some haste, mainly
the worldmaps, America and Asia, also the Septentrionales regiones, with
a preference for high-class engraving and bright colouring. That is, the
same pattern as Paul van den Brink reports.
Checking continues and will probably reveal more losses. There is now a
major investigation as some of you may know, but I guess the chance of
recovery is slight.
Regretfully
