The Personal Navigator offers these excellent atlases:
1. New Encyclopedic Atlas and Gazetteer of the World Prep. by William
Patten and J.E. Homans, 1909. New York: P.F. Collier & Son. Includes colored
maps; 99 pp. Gazetteer of Cities and Towns of the World. incl. detailed
maps of cities; 90 pp on Physical and Commercial Atlas of U.S., 5 pp. on
Dominion of Canada; 24 pp American Railroad Gazetteer. 348 pp. 29 x 41 cm.
Fair condition, cloth on board, spine frayed, inside front hinge partly
torn. Pages, maps in very good condition. (135) $75.
2. Marsa-Wona Taschenatlas vom Westlichen Kriegsschauplatz-- Gesamte
Kampffront (Pocket Atlas of
the Western Front, World War I) Maßtab 1:200 000 ca. 1918. Königswartha
Hauschting. Rebound copy of a battle-worn German pocket atlas of maps of
the Western front in World War I, including places like Ostende, Dünkirchen,
Brügge, and Armentière. 12.5 x 18 cm. Cloth on board, excellent binding by
U. Holzer, Boston. Original Taschenatlas is preserved intact, with very
tattered cloth cover carefully pasted on page. (393) $90.
3. Mitchell's Ancient Atlas, Classical and Sacred, Containing Maps
Illustrating the Geography of the Ancient World by Mitchell, S. Augustus.
1865. Philadelphia: E.H. Butler & Co. 24 x 30.3 cm . Contains full color
maps of World as known to the ancients; Asia Minor (in classical times),
Ancient Greece, Ancient Italy, and detailed index. Paper on board, cloth
tape for spine, fair condition. Binding intact. (215) $75.
4. Historischer Schul-Atlas zur alten, mittleren und neuen Geschichte.
Bearbeitet und herausgegeben von Alfred Baldamus und Ernst Schwabe. 1902.
Leipzig, Germany: Verlag von Velhagen & Klasing. German language Historical
School Atlas, with excellent colored maps which show the ancient world, and
depict Europe and the rest of the world as result of various discoveries and
wars. Includes detailed maps which show Napoleon?s battles, Germany in 1814,
Germany from 1815 to 1866, and much more. 17.5 x 26 cm. Cloth on board,
cloth worn and split along spine but binding intact. (245) $48.
