Neil and the List

I'm sorry I have not responded to your listing sooner, but I have been on
travel. The map you are talking about was, from your description, published
from 1860-62. Only the very first edition was published in Richmond, and that
edition used a one page version of the same map on Page 33. There are two
states of the map you are describing, the first was used in later 1860 and
earlier 1861. The second differed by 1) extending into the border of the map at
Brownsville, and 2) by having notation at the border "Longitude....Washington"
in print rather than script. There is also a difference in the size of the
title "U.S. Mail Route", but you would need both versions to make that
comparison.

If anyone would like to publish my extensive data on Johnson atlases, this
information could be public.
