Detailed map of the Missouri River, with east at the top, extending from just north of St. Louis to Kansas City.
Major landmarks include Ft. Osage or Sibley, Lexington, Jefferson City, and St. Charles.
The map was printed only 2 year after Kansas City became an incorporated as the town of Kansas on June 3, 1850 (population approximately 1,500) and the year before its first Newspaper was established in 1851.
