A rare Italian map of the United States, engraved to illustrate Carlo Vidua's travels in the United States.
Because of a time delay in the issuance of the map, Texas is shown as a Republic. The Sioux District and Huron District are also shown. Nice detail in the Southwest.
The map is very scarce, with no record of any example in a dealer catalogue in the past 20 years.
