Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Rare Miniature Map of California, published in Sacramento City.

The map extends from the Oregon border to San Luis Obispo, with an inset of Southern California at a smaller scale.

On verso: A Table of Distances and the Direction from each County Seat in the State to some of the Principal Places in its own Bounds. Only lists counties from Alameda to Placer, in alphabetical order.

The main map follows rather closely to Baker's Map of the Mining Region, though missing most of the detail because of the size. One correction is that it has Lake Tahoe correctly placed. Also the county boundaries have been brought up to date. Baker's map was published by Barber and Baker

The map is very rare--we locate no other recorded examples.
