Description
Rare 1658 edition of Jan Jansson's map of Denmark, first published in 1629.
The present example bears the imprint of Claes Jansson Visscher and is apparently the 2nd edition to bear his imprint, after the edition of 1650.
The present example lacks the decorative panels.
The map is very rare. We note only a single recorded example of the map at auction in the past 30 years (Reiss, April 2007).
Condition Description
Trimmed to inner neat lines and therefore lacking decorative panels.
