Description

Illustrated broadsheet soliciting the interest of former officers, soldiers and militiamen to pursue their pension benefits from the United States Pension Department.

Gage's broadsheet solicites the veterans of the Revolutionary War and their heirs, as well as those who fought in either the War of 1812 or the Seminole Wars (1811, 1835 and 1836), or Mad Anthony Wayne's Wars of 1792 and 1795 against the Blackhawk Indians, and the Mexican War, to retain his services to process pension claims and perfect their rights to Military Bounty Lands pursuant to the Pension Act of 1850.

A list of references at the foot of broadsheet include Senators John Dix, General Sam Houston, Congressman William Sprague and others.
