If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Description

Extemely rare Swedish Sea chart of Polish and Baltic Coastlines, by Nils Thorvedsson Stromcrona (1684-1740).

Nils Strömcrona was the successor to Peter Gedda, the first modern chartmaker in Sweden. Stromcrona produced important charts of Sweden and the Baltic, used later by Frenchman Claret de Fleurieu and Russian Naval mapmaker Alexei Nagayev. His maps very rarely appear on the market, this being only the second time we have encountered his work on the market in over 20 years.
