Detailed map of William Dampier's tracts aboard the Roebuck in 1699, from Harris' Navigatorum.

Shows the route taken by Dampier through the Timors and over top of Nova Guinea, his circumnavigation of Nova Britania and return along the Coast of Nova Guinea.  Includes an extensive annotation on the area, beginning with its discovery by Saavedra and rediscovery by Schouten, with information on the native population and history of further visits and ending with a note on Dampier's trip through the area.

A highly detailed regional map from Harris' Navigantorum, one of the most important compilations of discoveries and voyages issued in the 18th Century.
