Description:

Extremely rare separately published map of Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and contigous parts of Poland, Galicia and Bulgaria, published by Artaria in Vienna, circ 1789.

The map is drawn from larger maps published General Bauer and F. Schmid, with credits for this map given to H.C. Schmitz and Franz Muller.  Fantastic engraving and decorative cartouche.

This is one of the earliest maps we have ever seen to include the Artaria Company name.
