Rare map of the Republic of Mexico and continguous parts of the United States, shown shortly after Mexico's independence..

Includes marvelous detail of the Mexican Provinces, including Texas and Upper California. The various overland routes to Santa Fe New Mexico are shown, including a route from Jefferson and St. Charles, Missouri. Extensive roads in Texas. The apocryphal rivers of California are still shown, but not reaching Lake Timpanagos (Salt Lake) and Teguayo (mythical). The 1819 Adams Onis Treaty line is shown, as are the early Indian Districts West of the Mississippi.

This is apparently the first edition of the map. There is a a later (undated) edition with the same title..

Original vintage geological map of the region around Dixon, Vacaville, and Elmira in the central valley near Sacramento. Showing an area of some 100 square miles in size in great detail, this map preserves the still-nascent layout of these Central Valley towns. The map was engraved in 1908 by the USGS following information compiled by Charles E. Weaver, and published in 1949.
