Description: Rare late 18th Century map of Turkey in Europe, extending from the Gulf of Venice and the Black Sea in the North to Sicily, Crete the Southern Greek and Turkish Islands. The map maker's name is not given, only the engraver (Barriere Sculp). The map is reminiscent of the the De Vaugondy/Delamarche cartouche for the map of the same region, although the cartographic engraving style is more consisten with Tardieu.
