Description

Rare map of Poland, Prussia, Russia and surrounding regions, based upon the map of Tobias Mayer, published by the Homann Heirs.

While we were able to locate a later edition of the map published by Basset in Poland in 1785, we were not able to locate any examples of the map published by Chez Daumont.

Daumont was active in Paris between approximately 1750 and 1760, where he engraved Vue Optiques, Playing Cards, and a hand full of maps, typically based upon the maps of other mapmakers.
