Important early map of Utah engraved by Major & Knapp for the General Land Office. T

his is perhaps the most detailed and accurate of all early Utah maps. The extent of the township surveys are noted. Gold, Iron & Lead mines are noted. Very early county configurations and some early towns are shown, along with early Indian Reserves. Early mail and exploration routes are shown and the Land office seats are shown. These GLO maps are becoming increasingly rare on the market and are an essential part of the early cartography of most states west of the Mississippi and important maps for state collectors.
