Description:

Rare map showing the Exodus from Egypt by the Hebrews, across the Red Sea.  Oriented with East at the top.

What makes this map unusual is that it does not cover the Exodus beyond the Red Sea crossing, as does virtually every other map of this genre.  The focus is exclusively on the route from Ramesses to the east bank of the Red Sea.  The map is apparently quite rare.  A variant example is in the Jewish National and University Library Collection (Eran Laor Collection), but by a different engraver and lacking the du Berey credit. 

Condition Description: Minor offsetting and minor damage at right margin, just affecting printed image.
