Strong dark impression of Munster's small map of Africa, from a German edition of Munster's Cosmographia. 

One of the earliest obtainable maps of the African continent. Nice detail, including the mountains of the moon as the source of the Nile. Munster's Cosmographia was one of the most influential georgraphical works of the 16th Century. It was published in a number of editions over a half century and was continuously revised and updated to include new illustrations and updated information.
