Description: Second state of Van Keulen's chart of Hudson Bay and Arctic Canada, with the addition of the privilege not shown on the 1680 edition and TEPPA NOVA not yet corrected to Terra Nova. The map shows the region around the Northwest Passage and entrance to Hudson's Bay. The map is based upon Van Loon's map of 1666 and is copied directly from Hendrik Doncker's chart of 1678 (Doncker's shop being just across the street). Only one example of the 1680 edition is recorded, making this the earliest obtainable example. Condition Description: Minor dampstaining and a bit of color bleed in the cartouche.
