Description: Highly detailed map of Colorado, hand colored by counties and showing townships, towns, roads, mountains, rivers, lakes, mines, plateaus, railroads, etc. One of the most detailed maps of the period. A later edition of the earliest obtainable map of Colorado Territory to appear in a Commercial atlas. The appearance of Routt County (established 1877) and absences of several counties established in the following year delineates the dating of the map. The counties established in 1883 are present, but the counties established in 1889 and after are not yet present.
