Description: Striking example of Homann's map of Sicily, Sardinia and Malta, along with the neighboring islands. The map is richly embellished with several cartouches, coats of arms, sailing ships and insets of Mt. Aetna and Valletta. A very nice example of the map, from an early edition of Homann's Atlas Novus Terrarum, pre-dating the Homann privilege.
