Description: Striking example of Homann's map of the Southern part of Italy, colored by Kingdoms. Includes a spectacular decorative cartouche with seam monsters an, cherubs and flying horses, and a second cartouche with Mt. Vesuvius erupting. A very nice example of the map, from an early edition of Homann's Atlas Novus Terrarum, pre-dating the Homann privilege.
