Description: Detailed map of America and the Eastern Pacific, extending west to New Zealand.
The map is prepared in a Portolan Sea Chart style, with only place names along the coastline, California as and island and only one of New Zealand's coastlines shown (as a single island). An outline of Compagnie Landt is shown, trailing off without a definite ending on both the east and west, with a similar depictions of the Straits of Anian above California.
The coastal features of the map are quite well defined, with many early placenames, including fictional ones on the West Coast of North America and between California and the mainland. The map and it companion map of the Eastern Hemisphere can be joined to form a world map, but also appear on the market as separate sheets.
